[call for applications] TANZPLAN POTSDAM: ARTISTS IN RESIDENCE / deadline: 15. 01. 2009. / Germany

Through the program Tanzplan Potsdam: Artists-in-Residence the fabrik Potsdam initiates and supports artistic projects in contemporary dance, choreography and performance with work residencies that include financial, creative, technical and logistical support. The program is oriented to professional artists and groups, from within and beyond Germany.

In addition to the support of productions and co-productions there is a particular focus on process oriented research, as well as thematically oriented, open work formats, that concern themselves with forms of learning and working together in dance, choreography and performance. The "Choreographer's Work Weeks", which take place annually in summer, place a particular emphasis on these forms.

Residencies take place at all times of the year. The time frame, work spaces, finances and possible presentation formats are decided jointly by the artists-in-residence and the artistic directors of the fabrik Potsdam.

Applications can be sent in German or English language to the fabrik Potsdam. There is no application form. Each application should describe a clearly conceived and organized creative project, as well as a work plan, curricula vitae of the artists and examples of previous works.

The deadline for residencies in the second half of 2009 is the 15th of January, 2009.
