AKTO is a regional festival for contemporary arts which includes visual arts, performing arts, music and theory of culture. The main objective of Akto Festival is to open the cultural frameworks of a modern society through "recomposing" and redefining them in a new context.

Ballettikka Internettikka explores wireless internet ballet performances combined with guerrilla tactics and mobile live internet broadcasting strategies. Ballettikka Internettikka Intermenttikka secretly broadcasting live from the target construction site in Seoul, performing a robotic mortal ballet right after the sunrise.

Ballettikka Internettikka is a series of tactical art projects which began in 2001. It explores wireless internet ballet performances combined with guerrilla tactics and mobile live internet broadcasting strategies. Stromajer and Zorman are preparing a new arctic New Year's Eve internet ballet broadcasting live from the Olav V Land glacier on Spitsbergen, Svalbard, Norway, Arctic Ocean.

After digitally igniting a robot with computer software (Ballettikka Internettikka: Olymppikka; March 2008), Stromajer and Zorman are pressing, flattening and grinding two fragile robots-in-love with merciless heavy hydraulic press machine (800 tons).

At the same time that the official 2008 Olympic Torch is being kindled by the light of the Sun (Olympia, Greece), Stromajer & Zorman are digitally igniting a robot with computer software. Ballettikka Internettikka is an ongoing artistic study of the internet guerrilla performance.

The encounter of art and activist collectives from three continents is a small piece in the mosaic of numerous experiments of symbolic and material social recomposition in times of capitalism's profound systemic crisis. NOMAD DANCE ACADEMY is a common initiative of six partner organizations from SEE region with the aim to promote, educate and collaborate in the area of contemporary dance and related arts.

As an explicit statement of opposing the intensified racist measures implemented by Belgrade authorities, and to support our fellow citizens, the members and friends of "Druga scena" decided to be the permanent guests in the Roma settlement for the duration of the Universiade. During this period a number of informal meetings, art workshops and cultural exchange programs are organized in cooperation with the ghettoized residents of the settlement. Together we demand that the fence around the Roma settlement in Block 67 is removed IMMEDIATELY.

Today, more than ever, it appears that phenomenon of melancholia is omnipresent and decisive. TkH and Kontrapunkt, within Deschooling Classroom, presents the seminar and public lecture by Aldo Milohnić, theorist of culture and theatre (Ljubljana). "There is a long history of struggles for preserving public spaces from expansion of corporate capital. What is relatively new, however, is the neoliberal strategy to bypass the public control over the public good by using so called public-private partnership model"...

This project negotiates the question of affirmation as a performative method and political stance. To choose the esthetics of subversive affirmation – in times of neoliberal relativism – means to take a political position – at the same time affirmative and performative.

Dragana Bulut and Milka Djordjevich amplify the artifice of performance in order to reveal the generic character of contemporary dance and the larger system from which it is produced. They work with marginalized performers, whose inability to escape the pretense of performance is magnified, as their endeavor in moving produces a futile result. Does this signal a time for change, or is it just a soundscape for revolution?

HOMMAGE à trois is a piece based on questioning authorship and ownership of ideas; we are dealing with stretching the territories of copying and originality; we work from an understanding that paying tribute establishes authority, while at the same time undermines it.

The Zoom Festival in Rijeka is a result of the wish to create a unique festival in this region, a festival that will meet the needs of local audiences for a diverse, quality art programme. The focus of the festival is those works of art that are difficult to assign to any specific art field and works that combine different techniques, methods and expressions. The conceptual background of this years' festival "Between Past and Future" relates to the eponymous book by Hannah Arendt who, back in the 1960's, argued that the condition of human existence, robbed of the traditional, transcendental, religious and moral standards employed to bridge the abyss between past and future, lost direction.

Lala Raščić’s The Damned Dam is a narrative in progress. This multimedia art project consists of performative research, blog, public events, performances, video installation, documents, illustration and publication. On the subject of T.I.M.E, German musician (Fello) and 5 Macedonian performers who collaborated for 4 days developed a work in process. This performance, a border-crossing cooperation project is set on the edges of contemporary dance and digital music.

Šukarova and Eagly met in 2006, when they collaborated with Yoshiko Chuma (USA) on the performance A Page Out of Order. The two artists are eager to build upon this foundation by researching their common choreographic interests. This performance in Skopje marks the first stage of their common research process.

The summer school is a part of the project on collective self-education in the arts and culture Deschooling Classroom(o^o). It is organised by TkH platform (Belgrade) and Kontrapunkt (Skopje). The programme activities were created according to the various fields of interest of the participants such as: curating of visual and non-visual arts, interdisciplinary dramaturgy, open source technology, etc.

Deschooling Classrom Project at the Cultural Center MKM in Belgrade will host on December 18 to 20, 2009 the working meetings and methodological laboratory conducted by Bojana Cvejić, co-editor of the lexicon of poetic terms of East Dance Academy. Participants in this program are Belgrade- and Skopje-based members of the group Notions, operating as part of the project Deschooling Classroom (2009/10)
